Working Notes

This is the picture I post when I finish writing a book. When I say finish I mean what most people would call a first draft, but with my method – not to bore you – where I revise each chapter as I go, I’m basically done. Just a quick once-over, where I may tweak a little something, three or four days. But easy work. Writing a book is like building a boat. Revision is sailing it. The book is the next Chet and Bernie mystery – Cat on a Hot Tin Woof. Too soon for preorders, but preorders of Mrs. Plansky Goes Rogue, coming this summer, are gratefully appreciated by the publisher. And me.

  1. Would you consider the completion of Cat on a Hot Tin Woof to be on time or early? Since Mrs Plansky hasn’t even been released yet and CHTW isn’t scheduled for over another year, is there a possibility it might be released….early?

And what’s next? Have you an idea for another Mrs Plansky?

    Mrs Plansky’s Regrets?

  2. I realize that even though you have laid down your pen, so to speak, there are other steps that must be taken: editing, printing, distributing, etc. before we can get our mitts on it, but waiting is so hard! Enjoy that edible apple, but don’t let the other one cool off for too long!

    1. Looking at this photo and comparing to the office photo, one has to wonder how old that photo of a nice, neat, clean office is. That is no Apple Desktop on that desktop. Wonder what year he left the dark side and found the light with a Mac.

      Ah, branding.
