When you’re writing a book it’s totally under your control. Then when it gets out there it’s the opposite, totally not. You hope for the best but how often does that happen? Answer: sometimes! Here, from yesterday’s FB comments on The Right Side (not a Chet and Bernie novel). Thank you Linda Price.
“This character really helped me last week, because I was volunteering at a local thrift store when I had an interaction with someone with “severe PTSD”. I won’t go into the details but, I am immediately remembered this book and the character and it helped me so much to understand this person and accept her. The book was hard for me to read, but I’m so glad I did. I thought later, it would be good if she had a dog like the one in the book. I think your book did a great service to those with PTSD because most of us don’t encounter those people often. Certainly I would’ve never read about how they really think. For that I have to say a big thank you.”
