I want to know more about this supporting character…
Today is also Winnie the Pooh Day. On one of my many day trips, I visited the NY Public Library on 42nd Street. Christopher Robin Milne’s original Winnie the Pooh bear, Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga, and Tigger are displayed there in the children’s section. It was so much fun seeing them.
Heavy snow expected in this neck of the woods tomorrow.
How lucky you are. I have several sizes of Steiff Winnipeg (Winnie) bears. Winnie (originally from Canada) was in the zoo and provided half of the inspiration for the name. I believe Pooh was a local swan. I also have a few Steiff Winnie the Pooh bears and a small ceramic Piglet, a Christmas gift from my Mother. Even more valuable is a pattern, don’t remember if it is Simplicity, McCalls or Butterick but it is patterns for the entire cast of characters except for Owl and Christopher Robin. There is Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger and Kanga and Roo. I made a lovely Eeyore and used a vintage button from my Mother’s button box. It’s still around somewhere. I also made Piglet and he has a striped jumper for every day of the week, all different colors.
We’re in a cold spell, daily highs around 62 but not for long, then it dips back into the high 50s.

That was rather sparse. Any elaboration? Even little story of inspiration?
Today is National Thesaurus day. I’ll bet I know where at least one copy resides.
Greetings!

Good evening to all!

Hmmmm… That’s quite rep the evocative name! What I say when I want little Jilly to do her business.
