Pareidolia comes up here from time to time, especially of canine-like images. This post is a pareidolia post, but not canine or evoking any other being, more like the collateral is emotional. My friend Arie lives up north where the winter night air is cold and clear, perfect for his interest in deep space photography. Here’s nebula M42 in the constellation Orion, taken by him two nights ago. I see menace and defiance in this image. But there’s no right answer! 6000 light years away!

(Side note re yesterday’s comment about Mrs. Plansky’s dad almost taking over the book. That particular commenter – ML – is uncanny!)
