No End in Sight!

May I say again that the title of the new Chet and Bernie novel, A Farewell to Arfs, does not mean the series has come to an end! It has not! I just loved the title, that’s all. It was a reader suggestion from James Connelly. If you’re out there, James, please send a mailing address so I can get you your signed copy. And if you’re in NH or the Boston area, feel free to come to Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord NH at 6:30 PM tomorrow and I’ll just hand it to you!

  1. Greetings!

I hope James doesn’t blow his chance for an autographed copy of “A Farewell to Arfs.”

Such a neat, organized desk Spence. I wish Grizz’s desk looked like that.

    Good afternoon to all!

  2. I don’t see how he can get any work done when all he has to do is lean his head a bit and he has that beautiful view of the great outdoors just begging him to come out. I’m sure Pearl and Audrey contributed to that temptation.

I wonder if OFA will ever be getting another dog. After 30 years with canine companions I’m not sure I could live without one.

It’s National Potato day. I happen to have three in the refrigerator. One for each steak I have in the freezer. I think I will thaw one out for dinner tonight.

It is also National Soft Serve day. I love soft serve, especially dipped in chocolate for that hard shell. But it is not something you can keep at home, you must go out and get it. And I’m not doing that. Probably.

  3. Wose, I hope James gets his book, too!
ML, probably? You crack me up! I forbid myself DQ locally, but we play the game, which exit will have a DQ when traveling. I love a good Blizzard. Also a Peanut Buster Parfait. Of course, a chocolate dipped cone goes without saying.
OFA, enjoy your in-person adoring fans!

    1. Locally it’s Foster’s Freeze. Just up the hill on the other side of the freeway.

When Diana was a puppy I would occasionally take her and get her a small junior cup. At her size and weight it wasn’t going to hurt her any and she sure loved it. And left me alone to eat my cone. Now that we have Freyja, we don’t go any more. Just too difficult with two dogs and I don’t want to take the chance of them fighting in the back seat as it is a bit confining.

It’s now 6pm and I’ve opted for something quicker from the freezer. It’s still 83 degrees to Probably has morphed to Not Likely.
