But finally it speaks: “Hutch!” So Hutch will be the profile pic for January – as soon as IT shows up – and his human companion gets a signed copy of A Farewell to Arfs, the latest Chet and Bernie novel. Congratulations, Hutch! When I first checked the website, I thought the stuffed animal cow was the FOM. Heh! Seeing the larger photo, I spotted you Hutch…You blend in quite nicely with your surroundings. :^)

For those of you with the Plunder On! calendar, the January page is Richard Wishnie Park in Ossining, NY. It is a short drive from where we live. Grizz and I enjoy walking here and feeding the squirrels and chipmunks in the nice weather. The photo was taken last February, when we had our only significant snow. Grizz and I decided to walk there while it was still snowing, and apparently someone else before us had the same idea. It was so much fun!

Wose, I miss the Hudson River Valley this time of year! It is so beautiful. I’m so glad you are enjoying it. Throw a snowball for me! Actually, it’s snowing here for the first time this season. But the topography just doesn’t compare.

Thieves, Jilly had a horrible time last night with the boom booms. I put her Thunder Shirt on her, but it did no good. I feel so helpless when she is so frightened. She got in the back of her small travel cage, in the dark utility room and quaked. I’m glad it’s over! Are the lovable little miscreants immune to loud noises?
I’m sorry. Where is Hutch? Is that a close up of a cow or a Dalmation? There doesn’t appear to be a dog anywhere. I think someone is putting one over on you.
(yeah, I see him. I’m sure they joke about his resemblance to a cow a lot. Same as my parent’s dog. We call her “cow belly” for the same reason.)
Happy New Year. I had a rough night so am putting off my New Year’s Day feast for a day because I can. Going to eat bland today, make stock and clarified butter and then go out and plant some seeds.
Today is Copyright Law day, something I am sure OFA is very familiar with.
it is also Polar Bear Plunge day, something I will never do, and Apple Gifting day.
The Rose Bowl is played today but I don’t follow sports so don’t care.
