Library Journal and Mrs. P

Starred Review from Library Journal for Mrs. Plansky Goes Rogue, coming July 15 and preorderable:
“Having recovered most of her fortune from a scammer in Mrs. Plansky Gets Revenge, Loretta Plansky returns to a comfortable life back at her Florida condo. After winning a mixed doubles tennis match, Loretta gives her doubles partner, Kev Dinardo, a ride home. They arrive just in time to see his yacht explode. Investigators and Kev say it was a lightning strike, but Loretta saw no bolt. When Kev goes missing soon after the explosion, Loretta starts to poke around. Discovering that her own son Jack might be mixed up in what is happening with Kev, she launches her own investigation. Late-night snorkeling, a plane crash, pirate treasure, and an alligator named Fairbanks all play their parts as the indomitable Mrs. Plansky searches for answers.
VERDICT In her second adventure, Quinn’s heroine brings the same charm, humor, and sturdy constitution that readers enjoyed from book one. Mrs. Plansky uses others’ perceptions of older people to her detecting advantage to find answers. Fans of Only Murders in the Building, Richard Osman’s “Thursday Murder Club” series, and senior detectives in general will love Loretta and wish for many more adventures.”

  1. That’s a great review. I used to get Library Journal but stopped after I retired. I love Only Murders in the Building.

I’ll bet OFA author is already planning the next Mrs Plansky book. Two different series in tandem. And how different could they be than Mrs. Plansky and Chet and Bernie?

It is National Ferret Day. I’ll bet WTAFP can name the book in which a ferret was involved.

It is also National Ride a Horse to a Bar day. Likewise, a book in which a horse was involved.
