Iggy

Reader Mike Farley liked this passage from A Farewell to Arfs, the latest Chet and Bernie novel. (Iggy lives next door to Chet. There’s a whole short story all about him!)

“Is Iggy fast? When he takes off his little stubby legs are a blur but don’t let that fool you. I can run circles around him. But that was the problem. Somehow, he kept dodging me inside those circles. I was beside myself, beside myself all the way down Mesquite Road to the little playground. There’s a hydrant outside the playground. That’s where Iggy made his first and only mistake.”

  1. I love the Parsons, and especially their little spunky boy, Iggy. He is the perfect best friend for Chet. I just wish the invisible fence fiasco had not happened. It interferes with their playtime!

  2. Arrrrgh, Iggy me matey. Avast ye be haulin’ Chet to ye olde playground, arrrrgh.

It is International Talk Like a Pirate day.
