I sure do hope OFA’s new instagram page has the same info the blog and Facebook does. I’m not on Instagram and don’t plan to be. Maybe he was inspired or encouraged to add that format to reach more people?
I don’t do Facebook or Instagram so Diana and Freyja will simply be friends from afar.
I commence work on the broken south gate and fence posts today. Actually it is more fetching of wood since several trips need to be made to two different stores. I do have gloves. It amuses me to go to Home Depot to buy lumber and see men “ouching” and pulling splinters from their hands. Did they not know they were coming to buy wood? Do they not own gloves? They could buy a pair of gloves right there in the store. I bought a very nice pair of deerskin gloves but am considering a pair of cow hide as the pressure treated boards are quite rough. I have worn out the goat skin gauntlets I use for the roses and am very disappointed I cannot find any more like them.
Christmas baking is going to commence today too, in the same way as the fence. The gathering or producing of the components. Today I am going to make marzipan and candied orange and lemon rind. There will be none of those weirdly colored oddly tasting plastic things called cherries in anything I make. Not doing fruitcake.
It’s 74 now and a predicted high of 76. The weather is still bouncing back and forth between 67 and 78 with no rain. The prediction was a dry winter but also a cold one. I guess the cold is waiting for January.
