Friend of the Month Reminder

June? Already gone? Who’s in charge of slowing this thing down? Anyway, time for the Friend of the Month reminder. See Demelza, the June FB profile pic? That could be you for the whole month of July if your human companion sends in a photo and the random number generator (made in a hipster garage in Seattle, see below) picks it. And your HC gets a signed copy of Up on the Woof Top, the very latest Chet and Bernie mystery. What’s the down side?

    It is also National Corvette day.

    There is no National Porsche day. Perhaps something should be done about that.

  5. Hi, guys! Been a crazy week and just caught up on posts. Mom used to wonder about how kids these days developed friendships on line. Then she got involved with the Chet blog and realized she had developed deep friendships with all these people. Some have come and gone, many of the pets have crossed the bridge and we’ve all cried with their fur parents over the loss. It truly is a wonderful group of individuals that make this a wonderful place to read and post. Thank you all, old and new friends, for being here.

    1. I’ve never met my best friend. She lives in Minnesota and I don’t. We med in the early 1990’s on a Rysher bulletin board for the tv series Highlander and have corresponded in one way or another every since. The occasional phone can and even the rarer Facetime. We do post photos back and forth through text, almost daily and we post on each other’s blog posts on Dreamwidth. This is the modern and more efficient version of the “pen pals” that some of us at a certain age may have done in our youth.

      I do miss the sharing of photos.
