Last day of the month! Time marches on, which becomes an issue for all living things. But forget about that! Way more important is the fact that last day of the month means this is the last day of eligibilty for anyone interested in being Chet’s April Friend of the Month. All you have to do is upload your friend to here or to Chet’s FB page. The random number generator does the rest. The winning friend photo is the FB profile pic for the entire month and the winning friend’s human companion gets a signed copy of the latest Chet and Bernie mystery, in this case A Farewell to Arfs.

Tomorrow is also the day we Plunderers dedicated to Nana who Crossed the Bridge a couple of years ago instead of celebrating April Fool’s day.
All our Nana Day preparations are almost
complete. We have each of your respective weights in Slim Jims, and two vats o’ beer —-one for drinking, the other for swimming.

I’ve never been much for the fools thing so would love to celebrate Nana instead.
Nana refers to the plunderer behind Bear Spirit Dog and Masquers The Cat who posted frequently under those monikers for several years on the blog. Also, in living Washington State, she had the opportunity to meet a number of fellow plunderers in person, particularly those who might transit through SeaTac in venturing up to Alaska to visit various plunderers there and of course to experience the thrill first hand of the last great race on earth, a.k.a. The Iditarod. She was a loving and great friend to many and sorely missed by all on the blog.

I miss Nana, Masquers, and Bear very much.
What can we say about Nana? She was a lovable miscreant at heart and often the driver of getaway car of one of seldom and wrongly accused misdeeds.
I miss Nana, and I didn’t even have the honor and privilege of knowing her! Any lovable miscreant deserves to be remembered fondly by the Plunderers.
