Beginnings

Sunday is for beginnings, so let’s take a look at the start of A Farewell to Arfs, the latest Che tand Bernie mystery. And here’s a bonus fact – the digital version, meaning Kindle etc. is available for $2.99 this entire month. $2.99! Think of it! It’s almost not there. And maybe a good way to introduce new readers who like dogs and mysteries to the series?

It begins like this, with a question:

Who wouldn’t love my job?

  1. Greetings!

    A short and succinct opening.

Congratulations to OFA’s girl, Dottie, March’s PFOM…Such a pretty girl with her ball!

After a few spring like days in this neck of the woods, it is 23 degrees.

    Good Sunday to all!

  2. I love that Chet loves his job. And who wouldn’t? He gets to spend all his time with Bernie, who he worships like a god, he gets to use his nose to hunt down perps and fallen tidbits at their favorite steak house, which he is allowed to enter, he gets to chase perps and bite them in the pant leg and he gets to ride shotgun in the porche du jour.

    Who wouldn’t love his life?

And because a cat was involved, today is International Rescue Cat day.

It is also Read Across America day and any Chet and Bernie book would be suitable for all ages.
