Sunday is for beginnings, when we take a look at the start of a Peter Abrahams novel, including those written under the Spencer Quinn moniker™. Because it’s on sale digitally till 1/24 for 99 cents – 99 cents! – here’s the beginning of the 5th novel I ever wrote, the total now nearing 50.
The blue hole isn’t blue. It is gray, even under a clear sky; just a quiet pond in the woods. Any of the village boys could skip a stone across it, but they never do. They don’t go near the blue hole because a monster lives at the bottom. The fisherman even claims he has seen it; the fisherman who drinks a bottle of rum a day.

Good day to all.
Greetings!
Snow started about 1:30 this afternoon.
ML: Nice collection of Winnie memorabilia and patterns you have. :^)
Good Sunday afternoon to all!
I have some nice Beatrix Potter too. Every Peter Rabbit Teleflora flower vase they made until they stopped. Still disappointed they stopped. I also have a nice Peter Rabbit Steiff piece in his blue jacket. He even has little slippers.
That book made me want to learn how to scuba dive. Then I thought, I might need to rethink that.
That’s a great deal.
It’s National Popcorn day and I have been feeling like having some popcorn for a while now. I guess Today might be the day.
It’s Sunday, no mail, so the dogs got to spend all night and all day today in the front. Tomorrow is MLK day and again, no mail, so they’ll have all night and all day tomorrow and tomorrow night in the front yard. That is their most favorite thing. I won’t have to unlock the front gate and bring them in the back yard until Tuesday morning. Happy, happy puppies!
It’s cold cold here but no snow with this artic front. Brrr!!!
I’m going to try to write a story on one or more of my many cat brothers for Pfriday Photos. It won’t be as interesting as my story but I will try to make it entertaining.
