Cars and Books!

Today at 9 AM ET I’ll be discussing cars on the monthly book show with my friend retired librarian Jill Erickson and host Mindy Todd of The Point on WCAI, Cape and Islands NPR. Perhaps someone will mention the importance of cars in the #ChetandBernie series! But it won’t be me. You can stream it here:

  1. Good session Peter/Spence. Fortunately, I had checked the blog shortly after 9:00 and was able to click on the link and hear most of the broadcast. No mention was made of the importance of cars in the Chet & Bernie series, although we do know they are quite important. I am wracking my memory however and I don’t necessarily recall cars being important in any of the Peter Abrahams books, so therefore this may have been a change that came about as Peter shifted to Spence (how about that, I have a so therefore!)

  2. It being 10:45 Pacific, so therefore no way was I awake at 6am to hear this. Too bad about the cars but I suspect the conversation was fluid and while going in a different direction was equally entertaining. Since today is Math Storytelling day I wonder if The Numbers after Two and Chet’s counting ability came up.

Perhaps they’ll have you back another time for some car talk. (I miss Tom and Ray.)

Enjoy National Lobster day, I’m sure commonplace in Maine but an indulgence elsewhere. I, being a cheap date, am allergic but not in an imminent death way but mostly an extremely nauseous way will give it a hard pass. I am open to German Butterbrot day.

It is National Quesedilla day and National Cooking day so I might whip up a quick something. I’m thinking of making some pizza dough for tomorrow but a quesedilla today would be fine. I also have fresh sauce so might go with some pasta.

Now it’s off to class to work on my watercolor which does not have a day but does have a month. July is World Watercolor month and Doodlewash always celebrates with a month of prompts and some giveaways.
