Tomorrow from 11AM-noon I’ll be at the South Yarmouth Library on old Cape Cod, talking about what my grandmother called the writing game. Thanks in advance to Brewster Books for their help with the signing portion.
For Chet and Bernie, it is National Crime and Intelligence Analyst Appreciation Day. Because that is what they do, and they do it well.
It is also National Queso day! And I happen to have a bunch of Queso in my refrigerator and a recipe for Columbian Cheese Bread I’ve been dying to make. I’ve had this recipe since attending a library workshop probably over 15 years ago. We had a potluck and our only male librarian brought this family dish and we all raved so he was generous enough to share the family recipe. I am going to give it a shot. And it is gluten free, just by accident. I suspect because the New World didn’t have wheat to make flour so they had flours from corn and casava or Yucca. All I remember is it was delicious, probably because it has a lot of cheese in it and I love cheese.
It is also National String Cheese day and National Fried Rice day.
