Today an announcement I’m not happy to make: yesterday I was diagnosed with shingles, and given doctor’s advice not to travel. The contagious part will begin soon and it wouldn’t be fair to others – a baby next to me on the plane, for example, or immunocompromised readers at a signing. Therefore the first 4 events on the tour for A Farewell to Arfs – The Poisoned Pen Bookstore, Towne Center Books, Vroman’s Bookstore, and Watermark Books – will have to be postponed or turned into zoom sessions. I hope to know details soon and will post when I do. The appearances at Avon Free Library in CT (8/15) and Gibson’s Books in NH (8/20) are still on.
I feel pretty good but not 100% – unusual for me as my experience with any kind of illness is close to zero. But not the point, which is that I apologize for this very late inconvenience to all of you who were planning on coming.
More news about rescheduling to come.
