“Compassion for animals is intimately associated with goodness of character, and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to living creatures cannot be a good man.” – Arthur Schopenhauer (This belief must follow logically from his noumenon ideas, perhaps something we’ll get to later. Much much later.)

Well the word for the day is clearly noumenon, thank you Arthur Schopenhauer and apparently Immanuel Kant as well (dating back to intro to philosophy that I took as an undergraduate freshman, in a galaxy far far away and a very long time ago). All and all, a very intriguing concept.
It is intriguing.
Good day to all.
He certainly knew what he was talking about.
I see OFA finally found someone to revise the jpeg to include all of the books. What I like most? The “new style” are all along the top. I do love that GDS model, very handsome fellow. I notice that Bernie’s pant leg doesn’t even appear in the last three book covers. They are all Chet.
Today is Galentine’s day. Also National Tortellini day, National Crab Rangoon day and National Cheddar day.
The disappointing rain may actually ramp up late this afternoon and into the evening. So far, it’s been a dismal heavy mist or extremely light drizzle and intermittent. Basically useless damp. Nothing right now so I’m taking out the trash even though it isn’t supposed to be put out before 6pm. I’m not waiting until it’s really raining. The USPS says delivery between 12;30 and 1:45 so if they stick to that, the dogs will have most of the day out in the yard, which they do love. Yes, even in the rain. I’ve watched them on the security camera. They’re laying side by side on the front porch, keeping an eye on the sidewalk in case any serial chain saw murderers disguised as innocent pedestrians may enter the yard to commit havoc and possibly steal their dog toys.
I played a little fetch with the plushy Jack the other day. She loves to shake it. My darling little predator.
